Like every year this year also SSC Board has released the SSC CHSL Recruitment Notification for SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level Tier I Exam. Candidates who had completed their 12th from any recognized institute/ Board/University are eligible for the SSC CHSL Tier I Recruitment. According to the SSC Academic Calendar, SSC Board has scheduled the Exam of CHSL Tier I Exam from 20th March to 20th April 2018.
SSC CHSL Vacancy details and Exam Dates
Staff Selection Commission CHSL 2017 Application will start from 18th November 2017 and the closing date is 18th December 2017. The SSC Board is inviting applications from all the eligible candidates who want to settle down in the government sector. We request candidates to apply for this recruitment only if they are eligible for the Openings of CHSL. Applicants of SSC CHSL Recruitment has to attend the CHSL Tier I. Only the candidates who cleared the Tier I Exam are in line for CHSL Tier II Exam. From 2016 SSC is conducting the test in the Offline mode that is Computer- based Examination for all the applicants. SSC LDC/ DEO Exam Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who are having the following age are eligible for the SSC CHSL Exam.
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- Maximum age: 27 years.
For SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH or Ex-servicemen, age relaxations will be as per the norms of the SSC Board.
Contenders should have the 12th class Certification from any recognized board or university.
Selection Process of Combined Higher Secondary Level
Applicants will be selected for the Vacancies based on the performance shown during the recruitment process. SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam contains rounds like:
- Written Exam.
- Skill Test.
- Typing test.

Contenders who are willing to apply for SSC CHSL Exam by going through the SSC CHSL Recruitment Notification have to pay the application fee which is decided by the SSC Board. - For General & OBC Category application fee is 100/-.
- For SC/ ST/ Female/ PH Candidates/ Ex-Servicemen there is no application fee.
Mode of Payment
As said earlier candidates can pay the application fee through online or offline mode. To know the process of paying fee contenders can check the following steps:
Online Mode – In this method candidates can send their fee by SBI Bank Challan or through Net banking. For online transaction, Nominal service charges may be included in net banking mode of payment. For future reference candidates can download or take a print of the Challan.
Offline Mode – In the process, the fee can be paid through CRF (Central Recruitment Fee) stamps. The stamps have to be canceled before applying it on the form otherwise the applications will not be accepted.
Selected candidates will be paid according to the norms of the Organization. Contenders can take a look at below updated post-wise salary:
- Lower Division Clerk – Rs. 22,392 to 26,026 with grade pay of Rs. 1,900/-.
- Postal Assistant – Rs. 29,340 to 35,220 with grade pay of Rs. 2,400/-.
- Data Entry Operator – Rs. 29,340 to 35,220 with grade pay of Rs. 2,400/-.
Centers Codes for SSC CHSL Exam
To conduct the exam in a peaceful manner SSC has released exam centers around 120 cities and towns throughout the country. Test centers are grouped into 9 regions. Candidates can choose the region which is near to them. So that board will assign the center in that region and also near to the Candidate.

How to Apply Online for SSC 10+2 Exam
- Read the Notification carefully before applying online.
- Visit the official site or Go to the link provided below for the online application form.
- Fill the application form in prescribed manner.
- Submit the form before the last date.
- A registration number will be generated on submitting the form.
- Take a printout of that page.
- Upload scanned copies of recent passport size Photograph and Signature.
- Make fee payment in either online or offline mode through SBI challan or Net banking.
- Finally, take a printout of the application form for the further purpose.

- Download the SSC CHSL Application form from the official website or from the link attached below.
- Fill the application form in the given format.
- Enter the Required details such as Your name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Nationality, Category, work experience, educational qualification etc.
- Paste your recent photograph.
- Make fee payment as per the category.
- Paste the CRF stamp in the given space.
- Submit the duly filled application form along with the required enclosures to the concerned Regional/ Sub-Regional office of the commission before completion of the last date.
